The Town of Brownsburg puts a high priority on informing the public about municipal services, programs, events, and issues. The Communications Office supports the Town’s strategic objectives for an improved community image; proactive economic development; and government effectiveness and transparency.

The communications staff helps residents stay informed about Town services and ways the public can be involved in the Town's decision-making processes. The staff produces website content, maintains the online calendar of official Town activities and meetings, creates public awareness campaigns and community event promotions, and writes and designs publications including the bi-annual newsletter and annual report.

Communications staff manages the Town’s media relations activities by issuing news releases, responding to inquiries, and arranging interviews with the appropriate spokesperson. MEDIA CONTACT>>

Staff works to create more opportunities for resident engagement, such as live streaming video of public meetings, social media, e-news, and a mobile phone app.

The communications staff also collaborates with Lucas Oil Raceway and Brownsburg's motorsports community to organize the Rev Rally fanfest for the Night Before the 500 race in May and the Big Go Block Party fanfest in August to kick off the U.S. Nationals festivities.
