Wellhead Protection Program

The source of Brownsburg's drinking water is groundwater produced from eight deep water wells located in our community. To help protect the underground aquifer and the water supply wells from potential contamination, Brownsburg has developed a Wellhead Protection Program, which was approved by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) in 2002. The Wellhead Protection Plan focuses on public education, spill prevention, and emergency response.  A complete copy of the wellhead protection plan is available for viewing at Brownsburg Town Hall, 61 N. Green Street.
