Elected in 2018 and re-elected in 2023, Town Council President Travis Tschaenn is serving his second term on the Brownsburg Town Council. During his four-year presidential tenure, he has brought an entrepreneurial vision to Brownsburg. The community was named "Best Suburb to Live In Near a Large City" by Smart Asset in 2022 and "Best Place to Live in America" by Money Magazine in 2021.
Under Tschaenn's leadership, Brownsburg continues to transform into a thriving community that supports motorsports, logistics, manufacturing, and small businesses.
Tschaenn is a lifelong Hoosier, currently working as the National Account Manager for Randall-Reilly. He has served in various local community roles, including the State of Indiana Precinct Committeeman, Central Indiana Council of Elected Officials, Hendricks County Economic Development Partnership, Brownsburg Redevelopment Commission, Brownsburg Redevelopment Authority, Brownsburg Fire Territory Executive Board, and Kiwanis. He received his Bachelor's in Political Science and Government from Franklin College. He lives in Brownsburg with his wife and three children.
