The Park Board is committed to providing quality parks, recreation facilities, and programs to enhance the quality of life for residents. The Park Board consists of six members: four appointed by the Town Council, one appointed by the Brownsburg Public Library, and one appointed by the Brownsburg Community School Corporation. The Park Board acknowledges its responsibility to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. In order to assist individuals with disabilities who require special services (i.e. sign interpretive services, alternative audio/visual devices, and amanuenses) for participation in or access to Town sponsored public programs, services, and/or meetings, the Town requests that individuals make requests for these services two business days ahead of the scheduled program, service, and/or meeting. Please make a request for accommodation as far in advance as possible, preferably at least 72 hours before the scheduled meeting or activity.
The Town will make reasonable modifications in policies, practices, and procedures; furnish auxiliary aids and services; and afford program accessibility as appropriate and necessary. Examples of auxiliary aids or services that the Town may provide for qualified individuals with disabilities include:
- Assistive listening devices
- Qualified ASL or other types of interpreters for persons with hearing loss
- Communication access real-time translation / Real-time transcription services
- Accessible formats such as large print, Braille, electronic document, or audio tapes
- Qualified readers
