Resident Academy

What is Resident Academy?

Resident Academy is designed to help residents gain a greater understanding of the Town's operations through lectures, discussions, and interactive activities.

Resident Academy is made up of six sessions to be held on Tuesday nights from 6-8 PM. The dates are: Jan. 19, Feb. 2, Feb. 16, Mar. 2, Mar. 16, and Mar. 30. Participants must be able to attend at least 5 of the 6 sessions.

The Resident Academy is a free program intended for Town of Brownsburg residents 18 years and older.

As a resident academy participant, you will:

  • Tour Town facilities and learn day-to-day responsibilities and operations.

  • Learn about the budget process and how tax dollars are used to deliver municipal services and programs.

  • See how departments set goals and priorities.
  • Meet Town of Brownsburg leadership and get answers to your questions about the Town of Brownsburg.

How to Apply

Applications are accepted on a first come, first-served basis and preference will be given to those who have not previously participated. Class size is limited to 25 people.

Interested residents may apply until December 1.

Applicants will be notified by December 15 of their acceptance into the program.
