The Clerk-Treasurer, elected by residents every four years, is responsible for the finances for the Town of Brownsburg. The Clerk-Treasurer may administer oaths, take depositions, and take acknowledgements of instruments as required by law. Currently, Ann Hathaway is serving as the Brownsburg Clerk-Treasurer.

Duties

  • Administering payroll for the Town
  • Administering billing and accounting for Town utilities
  • Preparing budget proposals to the Town Council
  • Maintaining budget line items throughout the fiscal year
  • Attending all Town Council meetings
  • Mantaining all Town Council proceeding records
  • Issuing all licenses
  • Managing all finances for the Town

About the Clerk-Treasurer

Ann HathawayClerk-Treasurer Ann Hathaway is a resident of Brownsburg since 1994. She and her husband of 26 years, David, have three children who are well educated by and have been involved in Brownsburg schools. Born in Greensburg, Indiana, Ann was graduated by Greensburg Community High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Ball State University. She has in excess of 20 years of accounting experience in the contracting, insurance and banking industries.

B S in Accounting from Ball State University
Community Affiliations: Brownsburg Chamber of Commerce Board Member, Board Member of the Brownsburg Kiwanis previously serving as treasurer and president, Member of St. Malachy Church
