Shawn Pabst has been with the Town of Brownsburg since 2012 and has held a variety of roles within the Town. He began his career with the Town of Brownsburg in the Wastewater Department as the Field Supervisor, bringing with him 11 years of wastewater experience including project management, construction inspection, infrastructure dedication and warranty management, and wastewater collection system operations and maintenance. During his tenure with the Wastewater Department, Shawn was nominated as the 2015 Employee of the Year.
In 2016, Shawn took on the role of Building Services Coordinator in the Development Services Department. He supervised building permit reviews for residential and commercial projects and managed infrastructure warranties and bonds.
In 2020, Shawn was promoted to Capital Projects Manager, responsible for overseeing local and Metropolitan Planning Organization grant projects. This position evolved to include assisting other departments with construction project management.
Shawn has a degree in computer-aided drafting and design from ITT Tech and is a Certified Floodplain Manager and a Certified Public Manager. He also serves on the Town's Advisory Plan Commission.
Shawn has lived in Brownsburg with his wife, Alayna, since 2007. He is the father of 9-year-old son Broderick and 8-year-old daughter Bristol.
He enjoys spending quality time with his family, their Bull Terrier puppy, Olive, and being outside as much as possible.
