Boards & Commission Applications Now Open

Brownsburg residents and business owners looking to make a difference by having a voice in the Town of Brownsburg's future are invited to apply for a position on one of the Town's nine boards and commissions. Seats are open for terms beginning in January 2021.

"We are looking for people who are passionate about our Town and who are committed to working hard to provide residents with a great quality of life," said Town Manager Jeffery A. Eder.

To apply, you must be either a Brownsburg resident. Applications are available online at brownsburg.org and must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. on December 9. The Town Council will conduct interviews on December 14 and 15 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Official appointments will be announced at the January Town Council meeting.

Board and commission meetings are held monthly at Town Hall, 61 N. Green Street, and are open to the public. The meetings are livestreamed via internet and are archived on the Town's website.

Board members and commissioners generally serve as unpaid volunteers. Still, members meet other residents with similar interests, learn about the Town, and help shape Brownsburg's future. Being on a board or commission requires a significant commitment, however, so applicants should consider their ability to commit their time before applying.
